Although the Zoids series has had many games released on different consoles ranging from Gameboy Advance to Playstation 2 and now to Nintendo DS, all the released games have been in Japanese language. Only one game has been released in english which is Zoids Legacy for gba. Zoids Legacy was released on 15th september, 2004 in the US. It is an RPG game and what you do is, fight zoids battles to gain money which you can use to improve or buy new zoids while collecting Zi data of any zoids you fight. I have myself finished the game 2 times and it really is quite an addictive game. The games story line makes it so that you are able to partner with older players like Van and newer teams from new century zero like Bit and his Blitz team. It really is an excellent game and is worth your time and money.
I will encourage every zoids fan to go to any local store that still has GBA games, and buy Zoids Legacy, but am well aware that such an old game for an outdated console will be quite a challenge to find so I will be giving you the ability to play it on your computer. Zoids Legacy can be played on the computer using a gba emulator such as VisualBoy Advance. You can get the latest version(1.8.0 Beta 3) by clicking here. Although this is the official emulator, a modded version of it has been made which greatly improves the speed of the emulator thus making it compatible with lower end computer systems. Instructions on using the emulator and playing Zoids Legacy
- Download emulator and zoids legacy gba rom.
- Extract files within both of the downloaded zipped files.
- Open VisualBoy Advance exe file and click on File->Open and point to the extracted file from the Zoids Legacy.rar file.
- The game will start.
To save the game, you can use the inbuilt save function of the game or you can save through the emulator by going to File->Save Game and then selecting a save slot.
To load a saved game from the emulator, start the game, then go to File->Load Game and point towards the slot that you saved upon.
