Zoids are designed and fashioned by a Japanese toy company. It is a franchise for plastic toys. The model first came into existence in the year 1982, as the company came out with various creature toys in the form of mammals, dinosaurs and insects. The toys are powered by motor battery and power transfer features.

Zoids: the story begins with the chase of a boy called Van Flyheight. The story goes ahead as the boy meets a girl named Fiona in the ruins as he is followed by the bandits. He also finds small silver Zoid in the ruins, and names him Zeke. Zeke is an Organoid and plays an important part in protecting Van and Fiona from the bandits, as he helps them to flee the ruins by resurrecting an old broken Zoid called Shield Liger. Van operates the liger and along with Fiona flees away from the bandits unharmed. Van then promises to help Fiona find Zoid Eve and also helps her to get back her memory. Van Flyheight meets a lot of friends and adversaries in the series. He meets raven, his adversary and friends Moon bay and Irvine.

The second story starts four years later, after the defeat of Death Saurer. The second story is known as Zoids: Guardian Force. The story unfolds as Colonel Kreuger is seen training Van in the Helic republic army for the past few months. Helic republic and Guylos Empire form guardian force together to counter terrorism in the region. Fiona and Dr. D, a genius and a mad child, are searching for Zoid Eve together. When Van saw them, he decides to help Fiona and they set out to search Zoid Eve together. They meet many friends and enemies on their journey.
